"They" Say

They say you should write what you know. I don't entirely agree with this, but let's just see if it works, shall we?

What do I know?

I know what it's like to be a sister.

I know how to help raise a puppy.

I know what it's like to have parents that are still married - to each other.

I know what it feels like to grow up on a military base.

I know how it feels to lose someone.

I know what it's like to play Barbies well past the "appropriate" age.

I know how it feels to be made fun for something you have no control over.

I know what it's like to be shy.

I know what it's like to be outgoing.

I know how it feels when you're left out.

I know what it's like to leave someone out.

I know a few really good books to read.

I know many great movies to watch.

I know how to cry at a movie.

I know what a child's smile looks like.

I know how thick a first draft of a novel is.

I know what it feels like to be let down by "friends."

I know how it feels to stay up all night chatting.

I know how tough finding a job can be.

There's plenty more that I know from my {almost} 23 years of experience in life, but I'm going to stop there for now.

What do you know?

  1. What do I know?

I know what it's like to be:
    A sister
    A daughter
    A friend
    A writer
    A reader
    A musician
    A student
    A(n) employee
    A blogger
    A collaborator
    A...so much more.

P.S. I like the style you chose to use for this post - it was very appealing.
